To understand how Thermage CPT™ works, it helps to understand how our skin functions. The skin consists of three distinct layers: a visible outer layer called the epidermis, a collagen-rich layer beneath the epidermis called the dermis, and a deeper layer beneath the dermis called the subcutaneous tissue, also known as the fat layer, which contains a network of collagen fibers. When collagen in these three layers is damaged due to sun exposure, heredity, or natural aging processes, the tissue starts to sag, leading to skin laxity. Naturally, treatments that only work on the surface cannot do anything to rebuild collagen in the middle and deeper layers of the skin.
Thermage CPT™ is the only non-invasive treatment that tightens and renews collagen in all three layers of the skin. How?
